The Tears Still Come


The tears still come
Roll down my face
I cannot hide
From the truth I face.

I try to just let it go,
Try to just walk along,
Act like it’s all okay,
But the tears still come.

I need you pick me up
Hold me tight in your love
Tell me, “It’s all okay.
God’s in control.”

And tears still come,
And that’s okay.

Peace


Peace...
What is peace?
Peace like a river?
Peace that passes all understanding?
Peace with God?
Peace of Christ?
Fruit of the Spirit peace…

Is it quietness in my soul? Yes.  Shut out the world with its worries.   Peace is comfort, no room for worry.

Is it trust?  Yes.  Trust in the One who made all, holds all, knows all.  Trust in His plan for my good.

Does it take away all my sadness? No.  And that is okay.  It’s okay to be sad, good to mourn.  I can trust God with my emotions.

Is it free?  Yes. It is a gift from Jesus.  No. It cost Him His life.

A Hug


A hug, a simple but powerful move.
It can mean hello,
Or good-bye
I missed you or I will,
I love you,
You’re my friend,
My heart breaks for you,
You’re on my heart,
You’re in my prayers.
It speaks when words might not do,
When words just aren’t what’s needed.
A hug is a powerful move.

Reflection on Philippians 4:4-8


“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:4-8
I will rejoice even now for God is still God.
I will rejoice for He is still good and His plans are right.
Oh, may I be gentle for with this I do struggle,
But I want His light to shine bright through me.
Oh thank You, my Lord, that You are so near.
Help worry to stay far away from my heart.
As I pray to my Father, bring my heart close to Him.
And I’ll thank Him for the blessings that abound around me,
But not hide the hurt that He knows that I feel.
Your peace, Lord, there is nothing like that.
Your peace that guards my heart, that guards my mind.
And what shall I think on, oh, only on You
For Your word is true and You are noble, due honor,
Your ways are right and all you do is pure,
You are lovely and admirable, excellent too,
And worthy of praise; You are worthy of praise!
Any person, any thing that displays these virtues,
It’s by Your grace, You showing me You.
Yes, I’ll think about You, and Your peace will come.
I’ll think on Your grace, and You’ll comfort me there.

KYSON

King Yahweh Saves, Old and New.
Salvation looks not at age.
How can what is lost be saved?
It is only by God’s grace,
By Christ’s blood shed for His own.
And for His glory this life exists,
Our child now praises the King,
The very best place to be,
For eternity right with my Lord.
I would love to have held him tight,
Loved to have watched him grow longer.
But I held him here for a moment,
Watch him form through the pictures I saw.
I saw God’s masterpiece,
The movements so tiny and small.
A hand reached up and I saw it,
A mouth opened before for my eyes,
A jump, and my heart leaped inside me.
Our child, alive for a time.
But now I see stillness, no heartbeat,
And I know his life is not there,
He passed on to be with my Savior,
Once again, my child beat me there.

Run to Jesus


When it all seems dark,
Feeling lonely and afraid,
Uncertain, discouraged, enraged.
Seems it all fell apart,
When it seemed so right,
What to do?

Run to Jesus with my pain.
Run to Jesus for hope.
Run to Jesus. He’s my Savior.
Run to Jesus.  He’s there.

Sometime life is hard,
Sometimes downright brutal,
And yet inside I know:
Life’s a gift.
Life for Jesus.
Life is hard,
But life is good.
What to do?

Run to Jesus for His arms.

I do not know what tomorrow holds


I do not know what tomorrow holds,
But this much do I know:
The Father knows what tomorrow holds.
He holds it in His hands,
And He knows it’s for His glory,
His glory to make known.
He is the Sovereign Master,
Sovereign over everything.

I do not know what tomorrow holds,
But this much do I know:
All things work together for good
For those who love the Lord,
And worry cannot do a thing
But bring the spirit low.
And He calls us to rejoice in everything
Whatever tomorrow may hold.

No, I do not know what tomorrow holds,
But I know the One who does,
And He’ll wrap me in His peace
And hold me while I wait in Him.
For He is the Sovereign Master,
And His love will keep me whole.

Sometimes the Lord gives me words for myself to help we work through something.  Sometimes it is completely for someone else.  Sometimes it is for me and others at the same time dealing with many different uncertainties.
